The Tall Ships Races Arendal
For the first time, Arendal has been given the honor of being the official host port for The Tall Ships Races. On 3 – 6 August 2023, the city will be filled with the largest and most beautiful sailing ships in the world.
Arendal has a long tradition and a good reputation as an organizer of international and public events. The warm and friendly atmosphere, hospitality and enthusiasm, combined with beautiful surroundings, make it special for the international crews to come to Arendal.

Sail Training International
Sail Training International // The Tall Ships Races are organized by Sail Training International. The organisation’s purpose is to motivate, develop and educate young people aged 15-25 through sailing training on board the ships. This is regardless of nationality, religion and social background. Norsk Seiltreningsallianse // Another critical contributor, in this regard, is Norsk Seiltreningsallianse. They provide Norwegian youth with sailing training and contribute scholarships to those who wish to participate in the regatta.
